Tools

The Tools menu is where other functions are housed that are not specific to the other menus in the ArcFuels10 toolbar. This houses a form to update raster values, forms to convert ASCII files to rasters (post-processing for FlamMap and FSim), and a form to export the attributes of a shapefile to a spreadsheet.

The Tools menu has a drop-down list with four options and six exercises:

Modify Raster Values

• Exercise 35—Creating a modified fuel model raster for the entire landscape
• Exercise 36—Creating a modified canopy cover raster within a recent fire
• Exercise 37—Creating a modified canopy base height raster using a fuel treatment shapefile

Convert & Batch Convert ASCII to Raster

• Exercise 38—Converting a single ASCII to a raster
• Exercise 39—Converting multiple ASCIIs from FlamMap5 to rasters

Export Shapefile Attributes

• Exercise 40—Exporting shapefile attributes to Excel
